VETS

Currently all vets in this practice qualified at Glasgow University. This isn’t a condition of employment, just a coincidence!

George MacRitchie

The practice was established by George MacRitchie in 1984. George qualified in 1972 , “a long time ago now!” he says, and has a wide range of experience with a particular interest in orthopaedics and fish.

Fiona Pattisson

Fiona is currently on maternity leave till approximately easter 2008.

Lesley Thomas

Lesley recently qualified from Glasgow and works full time between Low Waters and Beechwood.

Russell Lees

Russell also qualified from Glasgow, but as a mature student having a first degree as a zoologist and then spent a number of years working with animals in "wildlife" parks. Russell works mostly at Beechwood.

Sandra Lawson

Sandra has been qualified for a number of years and helps out in a part-time capacity at both surgeries.

Alisdair MacGregor

Formerly of Bourtree Veterinary Hospital in Hamilton Alisdair works 3 days a week at the Low Water surgery.

Gill Cooke

Gill has returned to the practice to cover Fiona's maternity leave and is working 3 days a week at the Beechwood surgery.
